My husband and I have been very intentional about trying to simplify, and we’ve experienced many benefits from living a more minimalist lifestyle. In concrete terms for us, that has meant trying to evaluate whether purchases are needs or wants, live in a smaller home with our daughters, and choose enriching experiences over material things. As a family we have often found that living with less material things has allowed us to have more time, money, and energy for experiencing new things, spending time together, and slowing down to enjoy life.
One very exciting family adventure has just been confirmed for us: this August we will all be travelling to Europe for 5 weeks! We hope to pack light in carry-on bags, and will be living in much smaller spaces: 300-400 square feet in most places. I’m so excited to share this news with you and hope to have several blog posts about our trip this summer.
